Donlan Home Care and Disabilities Services, we create social and recreational opportunities tailored to each client’s goals and preferences. Complex Care Needs
We provide individualized support for individuals with developmental and behavioural disabilities, as well as those experiencing co-occurring mental health disorders. For those facing challenges with substance use or other high-risk behaviours, we offer compassionate, non-judgmental care guided by harm reduction principles that prioritize safety, dignity, and well-being.
Based on each individual’s assessment, we adjust staffing ratios and levels of support to ensure safety while helping individuals work toward their personal goals. Our Employment Support Services are designed to help individuals with disabilities prepare for, find, and maintain meaningful employment that aligns with their unique strengths, interests, skills, and career goals. Their team provides personalized assistance with career exploration, résumé and cover-letter preparation, job searching, application completion, interview preparation, workplace-readiness skills, and connecting clients with suitable employment opportunities.
Also provides ongoing support to help clients adjust to their workplaces, communicate effectively, build confidence, overcome employment barriers, and maintain successful working relationships. They are committed to empowering individuals with disabilities to participate fully in the workforce and community, achieve greater independence, and be recognized and valued for their skills, abilities, and contributions.
Residential and Supported Living Services
Donlan Home Care and Disabilities Services provides safe, person-centred residential and supported living services for adults with developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, and other complex support needs. Our goal is to help individuals live as independently as possible while receiving the appropriate level of assistance in a stable, respectful, and supportive environment.
All individuals referred to the program must meet the eligibility requirements established by Alberta’s Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) Program.
Residential Services
Donlan Home Care and Disabilities Services provides safe, stable, and person-centred residential services for adults with disabilities, mental health challenges, and complex support needs. We create supportive home environments where individuals can develop daily living skills, build confidence, participate in their communities, and enjoy greater independence.

Donlan Home Care and Disabilities Services provides person-centred supported living services for adults with disabilities, mental health challenges, and other support needs. We help individuals live safely and independently in their own homes, or with community residents, while receiving assistance tailored to their abilities, preferences, and personal goals.
Our supported living services may include:
- Personal care and daily living assistance

- Household organization and cleaning
- Budgeting and money-management support
- Development of independent living and social skills

Support may be provided for a few hours per week, daily, overnight, or around the clock, depending on the individual’s assessed needs. Each person receives an individualized support plan focused on building confidence, maintaining independence, achieving personal goals, and participating meaningfully in the community.
Client Directed Home Care Invoicing (CDHCI)
The Client Directed Home Care Invoicing (CDHCI) Program is a groundbreaking provincial initiative in Alberta. It empowers eligible individuals to choose their preferred home care services provider while having the majority of the costs covered by government insurance.
With Donlan Home Care and Disabilities Services you now have the option to hire your own private healthcare workers for personal care services, home support, and respite care. We take care of everything from service delivery to invoice submission. Moreover, our dedicated team handles direct communication with Blue Cross for reimbursement of approved expenses, relieving you of the administrative burden.
Direct Billing
Donlan Home Care and Disabilities Services is approved by BlueCross for Direct Billing. When you access CDHCI services through us, your care is fully covered through Blue Cross. As an approved provider for the Client Directed Home Care Invoicing (CDHCI) program, you can choose the care you need, and we will bill Blue Cross directly to pay for your care/services.
